Emory's on Silver Lake - Lakefront Bistro & Bar

Emory's on Silver Lake hoped to reopen on November 9, the one-year anniversary of the fire that destroyed the building.

The doors opened to guests on November 24 as a final preparation for Thanksgiving, and to allow all those who heard to come see everything new and in action.

Lunch resumed on Monday, December 6, so Emory's is back in business. An official opening will occur sometime in January.

You will notice a rather different feel as you enter. It is very open with a warm, lodge feel thanks to Fred Baxter & Associates. A lot of wood has been incorporated, and you will see it in the ceiling as well as the bar top. We have added comforting fireplaces, and a woodfire pizza oven replaced the former sushi bar.

Robert Frost continues to be the Director of Operations, and Chef Oscar is happy to be back in the kitchen. We are pleased to welcome Jeff Schumacher as the Assistant Manager, as well as Lisa Whitt, the Banquet Manager.

The new website will be launched soon, and will feature hours, menus, photos, and events.

Thank you for all the support over the past year. We are glad to have our doors open once again to the community!

Done out and Support YMCA

Thank you to Tracey Silla for forwarding this on to us!
-------------------------------------------

There is a flier attached that the Sno-County (aka Mill Creek) Family YMCA has issued to raise money for its Invest in Youth program.

If you might go to Applebee's for dinner (the one on Everett Mall Way), ever, and specifically on the date they list, Applebee's will contribute 15% of the proceeds to the Everett Family YMCA.

You can print it out or forward it by email to those you think might use it. The flier is your ticket, so you must bring it with you on that night in order for it to apply to the Y program.

Thank you for supporting the Y and youth.

Emory's Fire Announced as Arson

As many of you have read or heard, Everett Police have announced they have evidence that the Emory's on Silver Lake fire was intentionally set.

You can read the newest update on Emory's on Silver Lake's website, with response to those posting comments accusing Emory himself of setting the fire in order to collect insurance.

In my opinion, and I'm sure some of you will agree, people don't think before they do things, and they definitely don't think about how it will affect others. The Cole Family was devastated about the fire, and have been for the past two months. It's even harder to hear and read that people are accusing them of doing this terrible act. You can't fake all the tears that were shed when this happened! They are glad Everett Police were finally able to make some progress, and now all there is to do is move forward with demolishing and rebuilding the restaurant.

Continued thanks to the community and those who have been there as support. You have truly made an impact, and it is noticed and appreciated.

So now we can look forward to the new Emory's on Silver Lake, and as things update, I will try to keep you informed on this site!
